Choose a shaft that works with your flights

• Conventional folded flights: compare Harrows Supergrip shafts, supplied with machined rings, and Target Pro Grip nylon shafts, supplied with Pro Grip rings. Check the selected length and colour on each listing.
• Cosmo Fit Flights: use the matching Fit Shaft system. A conventional stem is not a substitute for its push-on fitting.
• Integrated flights and shafts: Target K-Flex combines both parts in one unit. You replace the complete unit rather than fitting a separate flight.

Short, intermediate or medium dart stems?

Start with the length you already throw comfortably. A shorter shaft brings the flight closer to the barrel; a longer one moves it farther back. The effect on entry angle and grouping depends on your complete setup and release, so compare one neighbouring length at a time.

Check the actual measurement and how the manufacturer measures it. A “short” conventional shaft and a “short” integrated system are not necessarily the same overall length once the flight is included. Keep your barrel, point and flight shape consistent while testing stems.

Check thread and replacement parts

Confirm the rear thread on your dart barrel before ordering. Rings, punched flights and moulded systems have their own fitting requirements; check the exact combination rather than assuming all accessories work together.
