Check each listing for the current price, availability and included mounting parts. A board's construction is useful to compare, but how often you play, how you rotate it and the condition of your points also matter. Our sisal board care guide explains what to inspect as the surface wears.

Plan the complete playing space

For a standard steel tip setup, the centre of the bull is 1.73m above the floor and the throw line is 2.37m horizontally from the face of the board. Measure from the board face, not the wall, and allow safe space behind and beside the throw line. Follow the board's mounting instructions and choose wall fixings appropriate to your surface.

Add a compatible dartboard surround for wall protection and compare board lighting for visibility. If you plan to use an automatic scoring system, check its board, light and clearance requirements before finalising the layout.
