23g is a practical middle-weight choice for steel-tip players who want enough weight for a steady throw without moving too heavy. Compare barrel shape, grip position and balance as well as the number on the scale.

Compare the barrel at the same weight
Two 23g darts can differ in width, length and grip position. For example, the Designa Mustang V2 23g lists a 50.90mm by 6.75mm scalloped barrel. Use those measurements and the product photos to compare finger placement with another model, rather than choosing on weight alone.
