Target Scope 04 steel tip darts have tapered 90% tungsten barrels. Inspired by photographic equipment, the design combines radial grooves at the front with nano grooves towards the rear. Sandblasting, black PVD coating and red flecks give the barrel its matte finish.
Supplied with 26.00mm smooth Swiss Points and a Swiss Point tool. Target’s patented taper-and-thread locking system allows compatible points to be changed with the tool. These Swiss Point barrels accept Target Swiss Points or compatible Harrows Quick Points. Use the tool specified for the point fitted and check the exact point/barrel combination.
The short 34.00mm Pro Grip Tag shafts are moulded from a nylon compound and include a nib by the shaft petals and O-rings. Their moulded 2BA thread is compatible with 2BA-thread barrels.
No.6 Pro Ultra Scope flights complete the set. The 100-micron flights have a spot-UV print coating.
On Point verdict
Scope 04 is worth considering if you like the combination of front radial grooves and finer rear nano texture. Its centre-weighted balance gives you another way to narrow the choice within the Scope range. Pay attention to where those texture changes meet your fingers, particularly if you are replacing a barrel with one uniform pattern.
